The Gum Wall in Seattle

In the spring of 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Seattle. While walking around, snapping photos, and sampling the local food, I also looked for design inspiration. That’s when I stumbled upon one of the most colorful and maximalist spot ever: The Gum Wall. I couldn’t resist capturing some photos and creating a color palette from the experience. Check out how it turned out!
I love cities because they’re full of inspiration. The street art and hustle and bustle are so inspiring to me. I’m drawn to textures, patterns, colors, and compositions. This time, I decided to check out what’s probably the most bizarre (and maybe grossest) “street art” on earth. Besides its colorful palette, the Gum Wall invites everyone to be a part of its evolving artwork. Whether fortunately or unfortunately (hard to say which!), I forgot to bring any bubble gum with me, so I didn’t add my DNA to the wall. Maybe next time—though I’m not sure when that’ll be!

Now, let’s break down the color palette I created, inspired by The Gum Wall in Seattle.
